UsableContent is our core product - it is a system which enables people to use good web content, its a true content management system which breaks a web page up into core content. Content isn't limited to text, but includes images, video documents and more.
A rules system allows you decide what is displayed and what isn't - rules can be based on aspects such as:
With many organisations producing and distributing hundreds of documents, management of this is now essential - within UsableContent CMS documents are treated in the same that all content is - it can use the same rules such as time, a document can be replaced after a certain date or be removed.
All files, including documents, images and video - are stored in a manager which makes it easy to store, find and update - additional fields are attached to all comments including comments and keywords to enable you to search for this content to use.
By logging changes to content and previous version, content can easily be rolled back to a previous version - or where legal or financial information is listed, you can see previous versions to confirm altered details.

This is the home page for a Government Office CMS - showing a range of the tasks that are available.
It was integrated into the intranet developed previously.
Project View
Pages were organised into 'projects', a word chosen by the client to organise pages in a way which reflected the way in which they were worked on.
Projects could contain any number of pages which could be in various stages of development, from draft to live. It was easy to monitor from the project view where in the process it was, including who had authorised individual pages from any team.
Page editor
A WYSWIG editor was created and implemented, which was carefully contstructed to accessible HTML. It would give editors sufficient control without allowing them to break style guidelines.

Metadata
Full metadata was incorporated, complying with government guidelines - allowing use of the GCL and other government frameworks to be used. Information could equally be used to promote for search engine optimisation.
